Thanks,
JakeDo publishing companies give free copies of your book to you, and if so how many?
Generally, yes. But it's something that is stipulated in the contract so the number likely varies from author to author. I believe that somewhere around 20 copies would be fairly standard.
If it is not in the contract the publisher has no obligation to give you any copies.
Also, many publishers allow their authors to buy additional copies of their own book at a discounted price.Do publishing companies give free copies of your book to you, and if so how many?
It is dependent on the kind of program that you get. Some publishing companies give you from 5 copies to 250.Do publishing companies give free copies of your book to you, and if so how many?

I've read that it really depends on your contract. Usually they will give you about 20 or 30 copies I think....though I'm not sure. :S
Hope that helps a litte. :)
