Any Publishing Companies read this thing?

I have a question. I have a collection of poems and little things like that that i have written I am assembling and will be finished soon. Are there any publishing companies out there interested in reading it, or how would i get noticed by a publishing company?Any Publishing Companies read this thing?
You can either self-publish (that is a LOT of research and man-hours) or you need a literary agent. Publishing companies will not touch unsolicited manuscripts - they don't even read them, they go straight into the garbage. A reputable agent will either agree to a fee from your royalties when said agent successfully sells your material, or ask for a reasonable fee up front. Be aware of "vanity publishers." Here's a link with what to avoid:

I recommend a literary agent - as many of the larger companies will not read your work without one.

For smaller companies I would recommend , sending off samples of your work to them, entering into competitions - festivals are a good way to get your work noticed. I also suggest going to open mic nights for poetry etc.Any Publishing Companies read this thing?
Mmmm, hard to do. Try to invent a way to sell it, a thing that you can do to get yourself in the spotlight; a niche. Most publishers aren't going for poetry and wouldn't look at it seriously.

The publisher has to invest thousands of dollars for the production of a book. They want to know that the book is sold before it's even gone to press. If you can find some way to raise yourself in notoriety and can then shop the book around to people who will buy cases of it, you've got a deal.

Good luck.
