What publishing companies can GUARANTEE that your book will be in bookstores?

Hey, I'm looking for a publisher for my first novel, and I was wondering what ones will put my book in stores (since that's where most people buy books). I really need it in stores GUARANTEED.What publishing companies can GUARANTEE that your book will be in bookstores?
Every legitimate publisher strives to get their books into bookstores - it's a business and they want to make money. Publishers receive approximately 10,000 manuscripts per year, your job is to get your manuscript to be among one of the 4 or 6 they select and not one of the 9,996 per year they reject. Once published their reps will do the rest.

If you self publish you are on your own.

Go to your local library and ask the librarian to find 10 or so recently published books in your genre. Copy down the publisher's name and their address and look them up on the Internet. Follow their submission guidelines and cross your fingers. Good luck! What publishing companies can GUARANTEE that your book will be in bookstores?
Ask your agent.

If you don't have one, get one. What publishing companies can GUARANTEE that your book will be in bookstores?
It's very hard to get a book accepted by the publishers who "guarantee" to put your book into bookshops.

Go to the largest bookshop near to you and make a note of who published the books in same genre as your book. Go to their websites and read up on their submission guidelines. You'll find that most or all of them won't look at your book unless you're represented by a literary agent, so find out who represented the books that you found and research *their* submission guidelines.
Read Writer's Market. It tells you who is buying from unknown authors. Don't go with a vanity press.
