What are good publishing companies for writers under 18 and doesn't require an agent?

Basically, what the title says. I'm under 18, I'm writing a novel, it's fiction for young adults, and it's should be done within a few months after editing. Any companies that accept manuscripts without a reading fee, needing an agent, or personally requested works would perfectly be fine. No rude comments please. It doesn't you or me anywhere in life. What are good publishing companies for writers under 18 and doesn't require an agent?
To say a publishing company doesn't "require" an agent would be false, no publishing house requires a literary agent. However your chances of being accepted drop substantially without a literary agent. So on that basis, any publishing house will do as long as they work within the genre of your manuscript. They are willing to accept anybody of any age as long as your writing is up to scratch.

As an extra note however, no publishing company will accept unsolicited work - work that hasn't been asked for. Check the website of the various publishing companies for submission requirements. If their is submission requirements, stick by them. Generally however you will need to send a query letter and ask them as to whether they would wish to view your book proposal, if so then send them your book proposal, if they then enjoy this, they will ask for your manuscript which will then be sent to the Editorial Department for review. Query letters %26amp; Book proposals are a huge part of the publishing process and can often make or break deals.

Believe it or not "Bookish" they are, it is hard enough to have an agent or publishing house look at your manuscript, let alone your book proposal, if you cannot catch their eye within these two pieces, you have failed immediatly. Although, someone who supposedly once worked at a publishing house yet can't lay out a simple paragraph should know this. What are good publishing companies for writers under 18 and doesn't require an agent?
It doesn't you or me anywhere in life? I hope this is not an example of your writing.

While there are magazines that take submissions from young writers, I don't know of a publishing house that specializes in young authors.

Any publisher will accept a manuscript (of a summary and sample chapter--check Writers Market or Literary Marketplace for guidelines) and won't charge a reading fee, but, most likely, an unsolicited submission isn't going to be read. If you're lucky, you'll get a form rejection letter. That's the harsh reality.

To have your work looked at, it needs to be submitted by an agent. Most of them charge reading fees. They're running a business; they can't waste time reading all the stuff that comes in every day when most of it won't be worth pursuing and they'll never make a dime from it

This may not be the answer you wanted, but it's the truth.

Concentrate on honing your writing skills and producing great work. You're very young; don't worry about being published right now.

I've worked in publishing, and, trust me, most people don't write nearly as well as they think they do.

Edit: Liam, query letters and book proposals are not a "huge part" of publishing. When something like that gets published, it actually makes the news, because it is a very rare occurrence. Publishing does not survive on the submissions of inexperienced writers who call themselves authors.

Edit: I'm getting thumbs down for telling the truth. Sorry you don't like it, but I speak from experience.

I'm so sick of seeing people here who can't even write a coherent question and are all hot to get published. It ain't gonna happen.
