I am currently building up a series of poems on various topics (including, but not limited to: God, the Holocaust, Love, hate, fear, etc. etc.) I have a wide range so far.
The point is that I would like to know what companies would publish poetry, whether it be individually or collectively. I really want to make money from my poems, but I haven't the slightest clue where to go, other than Lulu.com.
I appreciate it!What are some reliable poetry publishing companies?
Go to the library and look for Writers Handbook, as it would have the names of publishing companies that do poetry as well. What are some reliable poetry publishing companies?
There are lots of magazines that publish poetry, but most of them don't pay for it. So making money from your poems is not very likely.
No legitimate book publisher will be interested in a collection of your poems until you have established a track record with lots of magazine publications.
For information on journals that publish poetry, take a look at the book "Poet's Market." Your local library might have a copy.
