All publishing companies seem to be VANITY PUBLISHERS!! any publishers that WONT CHARGE TO PUBLISH MY BOOK??!!

are there any publishing companies (im not talking about the online ones im talking about the ones that will print and market your book if they like it) that dont charge to publish??All publishing companies seem to be VANITY PUBLISHERS!! any publishers that WONT CHARGE TO PUBLISH MY BOOK??!!
Do you have any idea how many people from every walk of life want a book published?

All publishing companies are BUSINESS publishers. Unknowns don't get published by big dogs. Most of their job consists of being bored to tears by the millionth clown pitching to them in their office about how their book is the best thing since Faust, and it (and they) are nothing more than a sad joke.

Listen to me. Your only choice is self-publishing. If you're serious and you've got something that can go somewhere, then prove it to the publishers. With numbers.

Also, publishing companies have a distinct track record of rejecting genius. So your work might be good, but don't expect publishers to see it. If you are really serious, get with people who know the business (take the side door in- start with local self-publishing groups) and they can point you toward the kind of publishers that would be a best fit for you and your work. Doubleday and Bard Press, for instance, have virtually nothing in common and I don't imagine one would dream of taking on the prospects of the other.

Finally, don't forget to get with a group of self-publishers. And you can email me, too, and if you impress me maybe I'll hook you up with some good leads in an appropriate sector of the printing business. All publishing companies seem to be VANITY PUBLISHERS!! any publishers that WONT CHARGE TO PUBLISH MY BOOK??!!
It is true that you can go with self-publishing but most people don't have the money and/or the marketing skills to get the sales going. Check out a book called "The Writer's Handbook" It has almost all publishers in it with addresses, phone numbers and what they want from a writer.

You can find this book at any library or most bookstores. It's a writer's best friend.
