AKA people who edit punctuation/grammatical errors (?) Is this also known as line-editing鈥搕he stage of intense, picky editing for out of place commas, exc.Do publishing companies have proofreaders?
Yes...but I've read traditionally published books with numerous typos and grammatical mistakes that it seems as though the "editor" is the Word spell-check.Do publishing companies have proofreaders?

Yes...they will also want you to add a sentence, eliminate a sentence, add a paragraph, etc..etc..etc. until your famous enough to publish your own material, this is the price you have to pay.
