WIll a publishing company take seriously two 14-year-olds who wrote a book?

Me and a friend of mine wrote a book. It is basically a series with 5 books and this is the first one. However, we are 14 years old. But the plot is really amazing, maybe even same success as harry potter and I'm not kidding here, and also the grammar is ok. By the way, forgot to mention that we are from England so could you tell us what we should do so some publishing companies will at least take us serious. Do we need parent agreement by the way? Also, if you have any tips on where to find a list of British publishing companies or any other suggestions and ideas for anything else that has to do with the topiv, then you are most welcomed to write them. Thanks!WIll a publishing company take seriously two 14-year-olds who wrote a book?
If your book is good they will take you seriously, because you don't have to tell them your age. You can if you want if you can spin it in your favor, but if not see if you can sell the book on the book itself.

And plot is nothing if the reader sees mistake after mistake. Make sure you get your grammar fixed before you send it anywhere.

And you'll probably need a parent with you when you go through contracts(if you're lucky enough to get one).

Also, don't wait to start the next book. if it is a series, keep writing it while you wait, but make sure you let the publishers know it is not a stand alone book.WIll a publishing company take seriously two 14-year-olds who wrote a book?
I suggest that after you get some people to proof read and correct what you guys have you should go to www.lulu.com and buy some books you will have to spend some money, but then you can go to local bookstores and sell some to them so they can distribute them, soon when you sell a lot you can talk to other companies about selling them... e-mail me at arualsandy@yahoo.com if you want me to help you :DWIll a publishing company take seriously two 14-year-olds who wrote a book?
They might, if it's good enough. To find out if it's good enough, find a critique partner. A good crtique partner is usually another writer, who will be able to spot problems or things that just don't work a lot more easily than someone who just wants to read it just for fun. If you still think it's good after you rewrite it with the help of a critique partner (and, yes, you'll be helping them to rewites, too), see if you can find an agent. You can go the whole self publishing route, but if your book is good enough an agent can probably get you more money. If you can get an agent, you'll just have to wait and see if your book sales. Good luck.
