I wrote a book and I want to know which companies will publish it?

I am 14 years old and I am looking for a publishing company for my book. What are some companies that might do this?I wrote a book and I want to know which companies will publish it?
You do not need to "copyright" your book. It is automatically copyrighted as soon as you place it in a fixed form, whether on paper or online. Registering your copyright is a different matter, but it's not required.

Now, do NOT send a book directly to publishers. They almost never bother with unsolicited manuscripts. You need to find a literary agent, who, if he or she takes you on, will handle the matter of trying to sell the book to publishers. See the Guide to Literary Agents below. You should look for an agent who handles the type of book you have written and follow the instructions for sending a query letter, synopsis, sample chapters, stamped, self-addressed envelope (SASE), or whatever the agent specifies.

Bear in mind that agents receive many, many queries. Most of them are rejected. At 14, you have probably not yet written a book that will make an agent sit up and take notice. Most writers get a lot of rejections before they get anything into print. If by chance an agent does take an interest, then because of your age, your parents will have to sign any contracts on your behalf.
First you might want to copyright your book. Then start showing it to publishers because they might steal some of your work if they see it isn't protected!I wrote a book and I want to know which companies will publish it?
Go on line and find examples of "Letters of Querry" and write one out. Then get back on ine and find s many names of publishers as you can and send each of them the same letter. The more you send out the more responses you are likely to receive.
It depends on the genre, intended audience, and quality of the work, but start looking for major publishers in your genre first and read through their submission guidelines before you send it in.I wrote a book and I want to know which companies will publish it?
Type it in proper manuscript form (http://www.neverend.com/msformat.htm has the details on what is needed).

Edit it many times to make it as good as possible. Put it in a drawer, and don't even think about it, for a month or two, then take it out and do more editing.

Get it proofread by someone who knows what they are doing, and won't be afraid to say that this part needs changing, or that part needs deleting and starting over (do not rely just on spellcheck).

There are a tiny number of publishers who accept unsolicited manuscripts (those that don't go through a literary agent), so getting an agent is a really good idea.

When your book is edited and polished, come back here and ask about how to get an agent. You can also use the search-bar at the top of this page and ask. It's a popular question.
